Services Include:
LASIK
Imagine seeing clearly without the need for glasses or contact lenses—LASIK can make that a reality. At Georgia Center for Sight in Lavonia, our board-certified ophthalmologists offer LASIK vision correction for those with nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism. Using precision femtosecond and excimer lasers, as well as advanced tools like the Allegretto Wavelight mapping system, we personalize every procedure to deliver exceptional visual clarity and long-lasting results.
Cataract Surgery
Cataracts form when proteins in your eye’s natural lens clump together, leading to cloudy vision, glare, dull colors, and difficulty seeing at night. If you’re experiencing these symptoms, cataract surgery may be the right solution. At our Lavonia location, we perform both traditional and laser-assisted cataract procedures using cutting-edge technology such as the LenSx femtosecond laser and ORA guidance system. We also offer premium intraocular lenses (IOLs), including the Light Adjustable Lens, to help restore sharp, vibrant vision.
Glaucoma
Glaucoma can cause permanent vision damage if not detected and treated early. That’s why our eye care team at Georgia Center for Sight in Lavonia uses a comprehensive approach to glaucoma care—starting with advanced diagnostics and continuing with personalized treatment plans. We offer a range of options, from prescription eye drops and surgical procedures like trabeculectomy to newer technologies such as iStent, Kahook Dual Blade goniotomy, laser peripheral iridotomy (LPI), selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT), and the Durysta implant.
Dry Eye
Routine eye exams are one of the most important ways to protect your vision long term. At our Lavonia office, your ophthalmologist will carefully assess your eye health and update your glasses or contact lens prescription as needed. More importantly, we screen for serious eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools. If it’s been more than a year since your last exam, now is a great time to schedule a visit.
Eye Exams
If your eyes feel dry, gritty, or irritated, you might be dealing with dry eye syndrome—a condition where your eyes don’t produce enough quality tears. At Georgia Center for Sight in Lavonia, we take a tailored approach to treating dry eye, starting with identifying the root cause. Depending on your needs, treatment may include artificial tears, prescription medications, LipiFlow thermal pulsation therapy, or punctal plugs to help your eyes retain moisture and feel more comfortable.
