Dr. Onyale Warnock
Onyale Warnock, O.D., is a passionate optometrist with a strong focus on evidence-based care and patient education. She uses her fluency in medical Spanish to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds and ensure clear, compassionate communication.
She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree, cum laude, from Southern College of Optometry and was inducted into the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society, the highest honor for optometry students. She completed her residency in primary care with an emphasis on ocular disease at Bond-Wroten Eye Clinic in Hammond, La., where she received advanced training in ocular surface disease, perioperative care, specialty contact lenses and myopia management.
Dr. Warnock’s clinical training includes externships at Milan Eye Center in Canton, Ga., where she gained experience in a high-volume ophthalmology setting, and Dr. David Fisher Jr. & Associates in Lafayette, La., focused on dry eye and ocular surface disease.
In addition to clinical care, she contributes to optometric education through lectures and publications. She has written an article for Optometric Management on improving OCT imaging in glaucoma and has presented at national conferences.
She is licensed in Georgia, Connecticut and Louisiana and is an active member of both the American Optometric Association and the National Optometric Association. She has been awarded the SECO Clinical Excellence Award and the Charles A. Callaway Endowed Scholarship for her dedication to the field.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Warnock enjoys community service, global cuisine, travel, and time with her husband, Ash, their daughter, Eliza, and their two pets, Dudley and Baby Billy.
