You can have cataract surgery after LASIK with no interference because each procedure deals with two different anatomical locations. However, there can be some trickiness in the fine-tuning trying to get you to see without glasses. Since we are both your LASIK and cataract surgeon, we will have all the necessary information to give you the best possible outcome. Once in a while the calculation will be off, but with LASIK enhancement your vision can be corrected. If a tissue limitation exists, preventing you from having LASIK, lens exchange or another minor procedure can fix your vision so you can see at a distance without glasses.
