During the LASIK consultation, we will do a full eye exam checking the refractive area and the health of the surface and back of the eye(s). We will also check how you use both eyes together. Remember to bring in your old prescription or contact lens box to the LASIK consultation; we need this information to determine whether or not you have a stable refraction. If you do have a stable refraction, you are a good candidate for the procedure. If the refraction keeps changing, we will wait until it stabilizes to do LASIK procedure.
