Glasses after LASIK
You may not need glasses after LASIK until 20-50 years after your procedure. Around the age of 45 or 50, your distance vision may be fine, but you may need glasses in order to read. This comes from a problem with the lens, and not the cornea, which is what LASIK corrects. As you approach the age of 60 or 70, cataracts may develop and you will need glasses. This problem is independent of LASIK.
