Cataract Center

CataractThe Georgia Center for Sight offers a safe and comfortable environment for patients seeking state-of-the-art eye care. Knowing that sight is so precious, Jing Dong, MD, Ph. D. and his staff are careful to give each patient the extra time and attention necessary to not only understand the procedures to be performed but also make patients feel relaxed and at home.

The Georgia Center for Sight also houses an Ambulatory Surgery Center. It is accredited by the Acceditation Association for Ambulary Health Care (AAAHC). The accreditation means that the surgery center has passed a series of rigorous and nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality healthcare, set by the Acceditation Association.

There are many new advances in technology related to intraocular lens implants (IOL). Conventional intraocular lens has been routinely implanted in the human eye after cataract surgery for more than 30 years. It provides excellent vision in conjunction with prescription glasses. Without the aid of glasses, conventional IOLs rarely allow patients to see simutaneously far and near objects clearly. New technology IOLs, were developed to allow patients to see both far and near targets without glasses. There are several different options to choose from and after a full evaluation by our staff and Dr. Dong one of these may be an option for you. We welcome the opportunity to discuss this new technology and answer questions you may have.

With an in-house surgery center and state-of-the-art technology available to all patients, the Georgia Center for Sight offers patients the very best care in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

New Intraocular Lens Technology

Cataract patients now have an option to see at both near and far distances after cataract surgery! Individuals suffering from cataracts previously had only a mono-focal lens implant option after surgery. NEW multi-focal IOL technology can now decrease dependence on glasses after surgery. If you are seeking ReSTORĀ® IOL lens options please feel free to consult our staff.
